Iranian ‘Life Again’ to vie at Dhaka filmfest

Iranian feature ‘Life Again’ is to attend the 18th Dhaka Int'l Film Festival in Bangladesh.

Iranian feature film ‘Life Again’ has been scheduled to attend the 18th Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.

Directed by Reza Fahimi, the film that highlights the life issues the elderly face will be competing at the Cinema of the World section of the Bangladeshi event.

‘Life Again’ narrates the story of an elderly couple who live together. The husband insists on both of them to move to a nursing home, but the wife resists the idea.

Once, they finally decide to move to the facility, their son, Amir who lives abroad, calls and tells them that he and his wife are to visit them soon.

Amir and his wife lose their lives in a car crash and what remains of them is their infant daughter who will be the elderly couple’s new reason to live on.

ifilm star of ‘Mom’s Guests’, Golab Adineh, brings to life the main role of the flick. The cast list also includes Shams Langroudi, Raha Khodayari, Khalaf Alvani, Akhtar Khoshkenar and Ayeh Moqaddam.

The film has won awards at the Tirana International Film Festival in Albania and the Golden Rooster Festival in China.

Established in 1992, the Dhaka International Film Festival is a biennial event in Bangladesh.  

This edition of the event is slated for January 11-19, 2020.
